Photo album of World War II Allied Aircraft, Vol. 2
Building upon its successful initial book launch, Eagle Editions Ltd. LLC is proud to announce the release of the second installment to the Wings of the Allies: The European Air War series.
This limited series maintains the successful Wings of the Black Cross format, first created by Jerry Crandall over twenty years ago. The books showcase aircraft flown by the United States, Russia, Britain, and her Commonwealth partners during World War 2. Aircraft from the European, Russian, Mediterranean and North African Theaters are included throughout.

At the close of each book in this series is a brief section entitled, “A Closer Look.” Here the author provides a focused look at aircraft types, campaigns, squadrons, or groups that may be of interest to the reader. In this issue, extensive photo coverage is provided of Outhouse Mouse, a famed B-17 G Flying Fortress of the 91st BG.
The 36-page book consists of 63 photos sourced from the author’s private collection. All are original without computer enhanced imagery or colorization. Most are unpublished and pictured here for the first time. A few select contributors have also generously provided photos from their private collections. Each photo is supported with detailed captions.
James Bentley continues his association as illustrator with Eagle Editions Ltd. LLC and the author Mark Proulx. He has created many colorful Allied aircraft profiles for the EagleCals decal line and books in the past. Eight color profiles are included based on cross-referenced photos included with the book. Additional references are consulted when necessary. This results in very accurate, well researched color profiles of select Allied aircraft.
Additional installments for this series are planned for future releases.
