Description

This issue in the Wings of the Black Cross series is a Bf 109 Photo Album, a supplemental edition to Wings of the Black Cross Special Number Three on the Messerschmitt Bf 109.
Special Number Three is an expanded version of the series encapsulating 63 pages of historically relevant material. As the photos were sorted and the associated narrative evolved, it quickly became apparent that all the data would still not fit within the confines of that title. Consequently, the decision was made to add many of the photos into a supplemental edition.

Bf 109 Photo Album spans 36 pages. It is comprised of sixty, black and white photos and eight color profiles. The high standard of printing set by the series is maintained by using only high quality gloss paper throughout. Most of the captioned photos are published here for the first time. The images have been provided by select contributors and sourced from the author’s own archives.

The book also includes a complete listing of all available Bf 109 decals that Eagle Editions has released through the decades. In all, 160 marking options and counting!

The title is once again authored by Mark Proulx as he continues to join forces with profile artist James Bentley. This is the author’s 12th release with Eagle Editions, and more are planned in the future. James Bentleys exquisite color profiles are created from his dedicated research and the quest to create color profiles as detailed and accurate as possible.
