Pendleton Round Up Queen 1924 RP postcard

Over the past 40 years, I have collected numerous rodeo cowgirl items including a vast selection of  Postcards. Most all of those featured here for sale have been published in my book Cowgirls; Early Images and Collectibles released by Schiffer Publishing in 1994.

038 – RP postcard in very good to fine condition, unused of the queen of the Pendleton Round up, 1924. At bottom of image is “MIss Josie Seddwick Queen of the Round Up P.D.C. 1924”. Initials stand for Pendleton Drug Company who sold images of the Round Up. Also at the bottom written in period ink is “Pendleton Ore, Sept 30th 1924 – H”. Stamped on the reverse is “Property of Marie Smetana”. Stamp appears to be of the period. Pictured in my book, Cowgirls; Early Images and Collectibles (Judy Crandall) on page 44, 3.5” X 5.5” standard postcard size. $145.00
