This resin set is designed to completely replace the cockpit of Hasegawa’s 1/32 scale Bf 109 K. This cockpit has been designed from exclusive information, photographs, and actual part Bf 109 K parts in the collection of Jerry Crandall.
There are many details in this cockpit set that are appearing for the first time in resin. For example, the tricky rear bulkhead and conformal seat back are represented in this set is EXACTLY like the real aircraft, as well as the authentically reproduced harness attachment fittings which will allow the belts to drape outside of the cockpit, if desired. This kit is the first to include this level of authenticity to the seat back. The seat-bucket of Bf 109 Ks was completely different from earlier versions, being made out of laminated plywood and having heavier construction near the fittings. This seat bucket was reproduced directly from a surviving example in Jerry Crandall’s private collection. Also, this set includes details below the quarter panels of the windscreen, a complete 30 mm ammo can and a detailed instrument panel/bomb arming panel based on the only known photo of a Bf 109 K cockpit in combat service.
