650 signed and numbered, 20.5″ X 27.5″ image with borders. Prominent in the early development and throughout the fur trade era were the French Canadians, the COUREURS DES BOIS, runners of the wood. This scene depicts an exploration party probing into the new western region for trading and subsequent trapping for beaver pelts. Printed on heavy archival paper stock.
