Capote ~ Red Striped Wool Blanket

Beautiful and unusual Red striped Witney blanket capote. Hand sewn with artificial sinew, shoulder decor and sleeve attachment seams welt using blue trade cloth, no beadwork. Hooded, blanket stitched. Witney label missing, but from I remember based on the colors, it is a Witney.

Arm length 27″; chest 42″; approximate neck opening 18″; overall length 48″

All our capotes have been extensively used both as artist props and in movies Centennial and The Mountain Men where Jerry served as technical advisor in both films. Judy made Charlton Heston’s green Hudson’s Bay capote for the movie The Mountain Men.
