There were so many access panels on the Ta 152 that it is not known exactly where this panel was on the a/c.
This particular panel was more than likely screwed onto the aircraft.. It has black paint on it, perhaps from a number or under wing cross.
This Ta 152 was flown by Sepp Satler who was shot down 14 April 1945 and landed in a lake near Neustadt-Glewe where they were based. Because the aircraft was underwater for so long the paint is slightly corroded.
