Description
A limited edition canvas Giclée from an original oil painting by Jerry Crandall depicting the Victorious Cheyenne Indians after a raid.
In 1864 the southern plains were ablaze with a war between Southern Cheyenne and White settlers and the Army as an aftermath of the Sand Creek Masacre. The Indians were on a rampage to avenge the killing of many women and children. Here the central character has captured a bugler’s shell jacket and his bugle. He is attempting to duplicate a Cavalry bugle call without much success and to the discomfort of his fellow companion.
Only 35 in the edition, 18″ X 24″, shipped rolled in a tube.
The leader tries to blow the bugle while his fellow warrior tries to cover his ears, wincing in pain! The humor of the American Indian!
