A total of 6 different and colorful Hawk 81-A2 aircraft (the export version of the P-40 B/C) were selected for these sheets, all of which are based on original photos and illustrations in the book Tigers Over China by Thomas A. Tullis. The American Volunteer Group, or "Flying Tigers" represented the United States' first covert military operation against a foreign nation. It was formed by a secret Executive Order issued by president Roosevelt in the spring of 1941 and was operational from August 1941 to July 1942 when it was absorbed into the 23rd Fighter Group, USAF.

All three sheets available only in 32nd scale.
