Next:
REMOVE the triangular-shaped windscreen / instrument hood panel from the kit fuselage halves. See photo below.

Work slowly, removing the panel EXACTLY to the panel line. Use a
motor tool with a ball cutter, or #10 (curved) blade in a hobby knife to
completely remove the details on the inside of the kit fuselage halves. Thin the
fuselage halves until an average of .040 thickness is achieved. Be sure to thin
the fuselage all the way past the forward edge of the windscreen, and nearly all
the way back around the rear fuselage decking.
Remove all mounting tabs for the stock cockpit, and the rearmost "rib" for
attaching the kit ammo boxes.
PAINTING: It is recommended the major components and assemblies
such as cockpit floor, sidewalls, seat, instrument panels, rudder pedal
assemblies, and the inside of the replacement windscreen / instrument hood be
painted BEFORE assembly. The basic interior color is RLM 66.
Use the excellent instrument decals provided in the Hasegawa kit to detail the
instrument panels. A drop of epoxy or acrylic floor polish such as FUTURE will
provide simulated lenses.
