With a background in advertising and
marketing, Judy Crandall has served as
director for several galleries, she has
written over 100 full length feature
articles on artists, history and collecting
for such magazines as Southwest Art, Man at
Arms, Challenge Publications, Wild West
Magazine and AeroArt. She worked as editor
for Aero Brush, the newsletter for the
American Society of Aviation Artists and as
contributor to Aero Art, Air Classics, the
Old West, Flight Journal and more. Judy’s
book on COWGIRLS; Early Images and
Collectibles was published in 1994 by
Schiffer Publishing, and entered second
edition in Spring of 2005. She is listed in
Who’s Who in American Art, and Who’s who in
American Women. In addition she has
organized numerous group art shows including
the Round Up of Western Art, Champlin Museum
Aviation Art Shows and the Women Artists of
the American West, working as their manager
for two years. Currently Judy and Jerry
Crandall operate their company Eagle
Editions Ltd. in their offices near the
beautiful Bitterroot mountains in Western
Montana.
Collectors eagerly seek out Jerry Crandall’s
artwork with most of the originals sold as
they are developed. A highly successful
artist, Jerry’s work has been in print since
1977 with more than 60 editions, many of
which are sold out. He worked at McDonnell
Douglas Aircraft Company as an aviation
artist; has been a guest on numerous radio
and television talk shows including the NBC
Sunday show in LA twice, the Mike douglas
Television show and numerous local TV and
radio stations. Jerry has given hundreds of
lectures to students on achievement,
historians, authors, modelers and the
general public about his career, artwork,
research and more. He was a guest on the
Navy Carrier USS Nimitz gathering first hand
knowledge of modern-day Naval operations.
Featured articles about the artist and his
work have appeared in many national and
international magazines.
Listed in Who’s Who in American Art, the
International Who’s Who of Contemporary
achievement and Who’s Who in the West, he is
also featured in Contemporary Western
Artists and the Challenge Aviation art
Series. His pieces can be found in many
private as well as museum collections such
as the Confederate Air Force, National Air
and Space Museum, D.C.; USAF Museum, Dayton,
Naval Museum, Pensacola; Monimo Air Museum,
Moscow and the HQ of the Italian Air Force.
Jerry Crandall is a member of several
significant historic researcher's circles as
well the Gemeinschaft der Jagdflieger and
Friends of the American Fighter Aces. Due to
his expertise in camouflage and markings of
German aircraft, he has assisted several
museums with their displays and restorations
including the famed Fw 190 D-13 “Yellow 10”
now housed at the Museum of Flight in
Seattle, Washington.
Relentless in his lifelong pursuit for
historical documentation on WWII aircraft,
Jerry Crandall has recently published,
through Eagle Editions Ltd., several books
on Luftwaffe Aircraft with more planned for
the future. With the acquisition of Monogram
Aviation Publications in early 2008, we
continue to expand our publishing platform.
